We Could Have Used this a Long Time Ago

Every year companies come up with great ways to help improve our lives and within the past several years this has been through the use of electronics.  There are new items that hit the market to give us an easier way to connect with each other from a great distance, find what we want to make use of and perform some of the various tasks that we are faced with in life.  Since most adults at some time in their lives have children the need to be able to properly care for those children is paramount in our lives.

With this in mind the installation of a car seat for an infant has been an activity that has eluded many of us over the years.  More often than not a car seat is improperly installed when you purchase it and put it in the car.  You can have the Fire Department or Police Department check your installation to make sure it’s done correctly, but that doesn’t help when you have to take the seat out and move it to another vehicle.  Now we see a way that a car seat can be installed properly every time.

At the Consumer Electronics Show that took place last week there was one item that would be useful to every parent of an infant, the 4mom Self-Installing Car Seat.  This car seat uses a variety of tools and sensors to make sure it’s properly installed and able to be used.  By using your smartphone and connecting to the seat you can learn where the LATCH anchors are in your vehicle and make sure you can secure the seat.  Once you have the seat base clipped in there are electric motors in the seat base that level it out and pull the tension straps to a higher than recommended tension.

This car seat will also let you know if the seat is properly clipped in with the sensors that are installed in the seat.  The only part of this seat that you have to be fully responsible for is the child being strapped in.  More infants are injured in accidents in their car seat from it being installed wrong than anything else, which makes this new car seat one that really will be an important step forward in the world of child safety to give us all some peace of mind.

This infant car seat works well with the iPhone for now and with some of the older Samsung smartphones as it’s compatible with older versions of the Android operating system.  Using only eight D cell batteries this seat will be the right choice for parents everywhere over the next year or so.  This new car seat goes on sale in June and is expected to retail for $499 which is not too far off the market price for many of the other high end car seats.  You can’t put a price on the safety of your child and with the new 4moms Self Installing Car Seat you will have the peace of mind knowing your child is in a properly installed seat.
